Kidney Transplant Evaluation by Nephrologists in Dallas-Forth Worth Metropolitan Area

Considering a kidney transplant is a significant step, and our comprehensive transplant evaluation process is designed to ensure you are a suitable candidate and fully prepared for the path ahead. We perform a thorough assessment of your medical, physical, and emotional health, all within our supportive and compassionate environment.

Kidney Transplant List

Once your evaluation is complete and our team determines you are a good candidate, we can work with you to get on the transplant list. A kidney transplant is considered when chronic kidney disease progresses to kidney failure (stage 5 CKD or end-stage renal disease) and your kidneys can no longer filter waste and fluids effectively. We believe that kidney transplantation before needing dialysis, known as preemptive transplantation, is the best treatment for most patients. Therefore, most patients are referred for transplant evaluation when their estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) falls below 20.
