Kristine Tan Gapuz, MD

Born and raised in the Philippines, Dr. Kristine Gapuz earned her Bachelor of Science degree from De La Salle University in Manila in 2005. She pursued her Doctor of Medicine degree at St. Luke’s College of Medicine – William H. Quasha Memorial, Quezon City, Philippines, following which she embarked on her residency training in Internal Medicine at St. Luke’s Medical Center, Quezon City, where she was recognized as the Most Outstanding 1st Year Medical Resident in 2011. She completed her fellowship training in Nephrology at the same institution, serving as Chief Fellow from March 2015 to February 2016.

In 2019, Dr. Gapuz expanded her medical training internationally by undertaking residency training in Internal Medicine at Metropolitan Hospital Center in New York. Following this, she pursued her passion in Nephrology with fellowship training again at the University of Illinois at Chicago June 2024.

Outside of her professional life, Dr. Gapuz enjoys a variety of hobbies and interests, such as playing volleyball, dancing, singing, and watching movies.
