Biography

Sadik Mohamed Sharef, MD is a board-certified nephrologist. He earned his medical degree from the University of Tripoli Faculty of Medicine in Tripoli, Libya; completed his residency in internal medicine at the University of Arizona in Tucson; and fellowship training in nephrology at The University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington, Vermont. 

At North Texas Kidney Disease Associates, Dr. Sharef provides comprehensive care for patients with kidney disease, with a strong focus on chronic kidney disease and hypertension. He brings more than 25 years of clinical experience, including prior hospitalist roles across the United States. 

Dr. Sharef is fluent in English and Arabic and an active member of the American College of Physicians, American Medical Association, American Society of Nephrology, and American Society of Organ Transplantation. Outside of medicine, he enjoys swimming, camping, fishing, and traveling.
